As an Infrared Certified Inspector, I am in an elite group of Texas Professional Real Estate Inspectors who are embracing the latest, most advanced technology available. By measuring the small temperature differences a trained thermographer can detect water/ plumbing leaks (potential affected mold areas), latent moisture in walls cause by various conditions, missing insulation, pest infestations, ductwork/ HVAC cabinet leaks (energy loss/ gain), and electrical hot spots that are outside of normal operating ranges which could be hazardous. An inspector without Infrared Thermal Imaging technology and training is at a great disadvantage and cannot provide a state-of-the-art inspection.
